Pioneer Electric Youth Tour Applications Now Open

The application for the 2022 Youth Tour is now open to local sophomores and juniors residing in Pioneer Electric’s service territory. Students will have the opportunity to win one of two all-expense-paid trips offered through the Cooperative. The Government in Action Youth Tour in Washington, D.C. (June 16-23, 2022) and Cooperative Youth Leadership Camp (CYLC) (July 15-21, 2022) kick off the upcoming summer.

“These trips provide an experience that is completely unique,” said Alyssa Hammond, program coordinator and communications specialist for Pioneer Electric. “No matter which trip students are selected for, they will walk away from these trips with skills, connections and memories that will last a lifetime.”

In addition to witnessing the impact that cooperatives have on their lives, students will have the opportunity to take part in experiences like hiking through the mountains of Colorado, indoor skydiving (CYLC), touring the National Mall and meeting with local and state representatives (Government In Action).

Students interested in applying for Youth Tour must complete the required application and Student in Good Standing form. Additional details regarding the trips and student qualifications are also available here. Complete applications for the 2022 Youth Tour must be submitted to Pioneer Electric no later than October 7 at 5 p.m. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
