The Pioneer Electric Helping Us Give to Society (H.U.G.S.) team presented Heritage Christian Academy of Hugoton with a $3,000 grant for its facility on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. The grant will assist with costs for the school’s Preschool Health and Safety program.
“Childcare for working parents is a need in every community,” said Janice Hollis, Heritage Christian Academy Board Member. “Receiving funds from programs like H.U.G.S. helps us complete projects for our school while keeping our fees affordable.”
The program will provide the preschool students with a safe environment for learning and playing. Items purchased with the grant will include materials for a shade structure and emergency lights.
“We are thankful to have the opportunity to partner with Heritage Christian Academy on this project,” said Ruby Terrazas, H.U.G.S. team member. “The H.U.G.S. program is designed to help with specific needs, like this, that shine a light on the care our communities provide for one another.”
