Youth Tour and Scholarship

Scholarship Information

Applicant must be a 2018 graduate from one of the schools below:

Elkhart
Stanton County
Hugoton
Lakin

Moscow
Rolla
Syracuse
Ulysses

Send the following items to the Pioneer Electric Scholarship Program. The information must be received by February 1, 2018 by 5pm.

  1. This completed original application (application link below).
  2. A one page resume stating your future plans, activities you have participated in while in school, accomplishments and honors you have received, community involvement and your employment experience. (Please attach your resume to the application link below and do not include references in your resume).
  3. An official certified high school transcript which can be mailed or emailed. Please see instructions below.
    1. Mail official high school transcript to:

    2. Transcripts may also be emailed to dwaechter@pioneerelectric.coop. Please note, that transcripts submitted via email will only be accepted if sent by a staff member of the student’s school. This could include a counselor, office secretary or principal. If you have any questions, please call 620-424-5291.
  4. A brief explanation as to why you would be a good recipient for a Pioneer Electric scholarship (a space is provided for you on the application linked below).

Youth Tour Application

Washington, D.C. Government In Action Tour – AND – Steamboat Springs, CO Cooperative Youth Leadership Camp. Please note: The Washington, D.C. “Government in Action” Youth Tour will be June 7-14, 2018 and the Cooperative Youth Leadership Camp in Steamboat Springs, Colorado will be July 13-19, 2018.

 

Selection will be made without regard to the applicants race, color, ethnicity, religion, gender or physical handicap. Two winners will be selected for the Washington, D.C. youth tour and two winners will be selected for the Steamboat Springs, CO leadership camp. Selection is based on the completed application and interview.
